July Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s our last week and we will be preparing children for the move to their next class.  On Tuesday we are having a “Meet the Teacher” morning, outside in the sunshine and fresh air.  All teachers will spend some time outside with their next class so that the children can get to know their new teachers for September.

Each teacher will be organising some fun events this week.  However, there will be no non-uniform days this week – please continue to send pupils to school in uniform.

The weather is going to be hotter and sunnier again, so please also remember suncream and a hat.

Arrangements for September

We will continue to follow Local Authority guidance and we will be updating our risk assessments during the summer.  We all hope that 2021-2022 brings a return to normality!

The school day will return to the usual start and finish times:

This year we relaxed uniform rules due to the pandemic.  In September, we will return to the expectation for all pupils to wear uniform.  Please ensure that pupils are wearing the correct uniform in the school colours of navy and white.  We prefer trainers because these are the safest shoes for our many steps.

Uniform information and links to suppliers can be found on the school website.

Inset Days

Thursday 2nd September and Friday 3rd September are Inset Days for staff training.

The first day back for pupils is Monday 6th September.

The sunny weather is arriving this week at last!  I hope that you have a safe and enjoyable summer with your family, and I look forward to seeing everyone back in school in September.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Quin
