Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are all safe and well, and “soldiering on” despite the weather and continuing Covid restrictions. Everything is running smoothly here in school and the children have been fantastic at settling back in. Here are a few points for your attention:
Outdoor Learning Week
We made the most of the dry and sunny (if exceptionally cold) April to teach pupils outdoors during Outdoor Learning Week. We are so lucky to have such beautiful grounds for the pupils to use for both enjoyment and learning. After School Club
We are currently setting up after school provision with “Once Upon a Time” and this will be in place in September. We will then be offering after school care to 5.30 pm every evening, as well as holiday clubs. We are extremely pleased that we will be able to better support our parents and carers next term.
The process of establishing after school provision takes many months to complete, and we had hoped to be able to offer an “interim” after school club during this term. Unfortunately this has proved impossible to safely organise under the current circumstances. There is no way to run the provision with our school staff that keeps everyone in the same “bubbles” that they work in during the day, and this would compromise the safety of both pupils and staff. We have not had a single positive case of Covid-19 in school, and no pupil has lost any days of education because of resulting class closures, and we want to continue to be extremely careful.
I apologise that we are unable to run any after school provision this term: it has been such a difficult year and we really want to support our families in any way we can.
Class Photographs – Thursday 13th May
The photographer will be here on Thursday 13th May to take class photographs.
Inset Days
Please note that there are two remaining inset days this term: Monday 7th June and Friday 16th July.
Look after yourselves and your families – summer is surely on the way!
Yours sincerely,
Mark Quin
