Cilffriw Primary School - Nurturing, Enabling and Inspiring Pupils to Succeed

Croeso, Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Cilffriw Primary School I am delighted to welcome you to our website. I have been the Acting Headteacher of this school since February 2024. Cilffriw is a school situated in the heart of the village of Cilffriw and has a genuine, nurturing community ethos. We are incredibly fortunate to have outstanding outdoor learning areas that enhance learning, mental health and wellbeing alongside environmental awareness.

We are incredibly proud of our children, who constantly amaze us with their enthusiasm, positive approach to meeting challenges and their want to learn. Cilffriw is a caring school that equips our children with core values that will enable them to succeed in later life. Our school motto is ‘Nurturing, Enabling and Inspiring’ children for their success in education and life beyond. Everyone at Cilffriw works incredibly hard to foster and nurture positive relationships with the whole school community.

We are an inclusive learning community and have a wonderful speech and language provision that provides excellent support for pupils. We are fortunate to have a professional staff, who are committed to providing opportunities for our children and a range of learning experiences and skills for them to succeed. We are embracing change and as a leader I see challenge as an opportunity for growth in our school community and team. The introduction of the new curriculum in Wales has enabled us to strive to develop ambitious and capable learners who are ready to learn throughout their lives. We encourage pupils to be enterprising, creative contributors who are ready to play a full part in life and work and ethically, well-informed citizens on Wales and the world. We promote the development of healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society. Our children have one chance in education, they deserve the best and our role is to provide them with this. Our dedicated and nurturing staff work together for the benefit of our children. We truly value the strong partnership which we have with parents and the community.

If you would like to arrange a visit, or ask questions, please feel free to contact us.
