Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Cilffriw Primary School. We are committed to ensuring that every child is safe, feels safe, and is supported to thrive in all aspects of school life.
Children at our school are safe to learn, play, and explore, knowing that clear rules, routines, and trained staff protect them from harm. They receive appropriate care and first aid when needed, and are encouraged to take risks in their learning, make mistakes, and grow in confidence.
We promote healthy relationships and a respectful, inclusive environment where every child is valued for their unique personality, strengths, and needs. Children are supported to speak openly about their worries, with the assurance that their concerns will be listened to and taken seriously.
All staff are trained in child protection procedures, and any serious concerns are reported to our Designated Safeguarding Persons, carefully recorded, and acted on promptly, including referral to the SPOC Team for matters of child protection. Safety, wellbeing, and trust are our top priorities in everything we do.
All safeguarding policies are reviewed annually and can be found in the policy section of the website.
